When slowing to a stop, at just before stop, the ABS kicks in. The car is on dry normal pavement, and does it every time. I checked air pressure in the tires, and all are at 35psi. It has snow tires, but has been fine for the 3 weeks they have been on, up until 3 days ago when it started. I pressure washed the wheels like crazy, trying to make sure there was nothing interfering with the calipers/brakes. There are no error lights lite, and I checked with my scan tool and found no current or past codes in the history.

My guess, is a VSS. I'm guessing if something was wrong with the ABS, the error would show up on the scan tool or dash lights.

As a side note, I pulled the ABS fuse, thinking its probably better to have no ABS, then an ABS activation every time the car brakes to a stop, until it gets fixed.

So, I put the fuse back in, and plugged my scan tool in to check individual wheel speed. Unfortenatly, it runs every single emission parameter you could ever think of, but not VSS speeds on the scan tool. I'm still thinking its VSS. The VSS is included with the wheel hub, which I have changed on vehicles before, so I am going to repair this on my own. So, does anyone know if autozone/pep boys can use their scan tool to see which one may be bad, or is that a dealer/garage type tool?
