Prodigy Brake Controller Installation Concerns...

2009 Silverado 4wd crew cab LT with a 5.3L & towing package, but no electric brake controller. I bought a Prodigy, model #90185, per etrailer.com. I watched the video, read the instructions, but when I got to the part where the pre-installed wiring was supposed to be on the right of the "brain-box" this part of the wiring was no where to be found. I got the part of the wiring located near the steering box/master cylinder with the smaller eye opening, but nothing like the video describes near the quarter panel near the "brain-box." Any ideas? Help? Help? Help?

I had a similar issue when I installed the brake controller. It took me a lot of searching & scraping my hand & arm to find the wire bundle. It was actually under the fuse block (brain box) on the left fender. There was very little clearance between the fuse block and the fender side to reach into, find & grab the wires......but the wires were there as promised. At first the wires were hard to find.

 

If I remember right, I ended up removing the nuts that hold the fuse block in place & lifting the block to get better access to these wires.
