2001 Tahoe Rear Climate Control Dead

My neighbor asked me to come here and ask about his 2001 Tahoe that the rear climate control has gone out on. He checked all the fuses and they are good. the front switches work and the air blows, but when he tries to turn on the overhead vents in the middle and very rear, nothing comes on. Is there someplace else we should start looking? Again, the front portion works for the driver and passenger, but neither of the 2 controls for the middle and rear are responsive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
