Sorry to start another Service 4wd thread.

 

from reading on here, the message I received is most likely the switch. Pushed all buttons, no response, shut off, restarted and now fully operational.

 

Could someone post how I remove the switch from the dash panel? I'd like to remove the switch to check for cold solder joints but do not want to break anything.

Lower tilt column to lowest position. Pull face trim from Dash watch out for the hazard button as they are easily broke off on some models..... It will be either bolted/screwed or held by clips...

I replaced the switch just last week on my wife's 04 Yukon with no luck... If you turn the truck off and restart it, it works fine. I'm starting to think it's the encoder motor.

Another quick question: did you hook up a code reader to it to verify?
