Rattle From Rear Dome Light. How To Remove Light?

Hello. New member here. Just picked up a 2007 Yukon Denali. Great truck (especially with the recent weather in NY) but I have an annoying rattle that I have isolated to the headliner by the rear dome light between the 2nd and 3rd row. I think if I remove the light and insulate with some padding I should be good. Any idea how to remove the light without breaking it? Can I pry the light down? Is it just clips? Thanks in advance.

it should be just clips. my rear dome in my sierra has been rattling every time my subs hits any kind of note. im gonna get to it tomorrow, so ill let you know how i took it off and fixed it. should be a similar light/fix.

If it's like my 09 Sierra you put a knife blade in the right side and spread it, it will tilt out and come out in your hands. I used foam insulation between the lens and the base. The rattle was annoying, now it's gone.

Thanks guys. Let me know the outcome.... I'm having my front passenfer light replaced tomorrow at the dealer and will have them take a look. As the rattle comes and goes I'm sure it will be silent tomorrow so I will tackle this weekend. I guess I'll get some padding/insultation from Home Depot and remove light and pad accordingly. Anything in the headliner I need to look out for?

Spread between the clear lens and the base, you can see little plastic grabbers (nipples) where you will pry it out. The lens will tilt out leaving the base. Then the base will also come out. I unhooked the wires and trimmed the foam so it could not be seen and snapped it all back together. Nothing too tricky, comes out easy and goes back in easy.

wow I thought I was the only one that had a rattling dome light..my 09 has done it since I bought it been meaning to stuff something in it

my truck has/had the dome rattle. underneath the plastic lens in the middle there is a piece of metal used to amplify the light of the bulbs.. this is what was rattling for me. i bent mine a lil bit and that stopped it from moving/and rattling.
