Windshield Wipers

Just put new wipers on my truck, I went with a pair of RainX Latitude wipers. They work amazing, but each time they come down they smack that black plastic piece right down below where the back of the hood 'meets' the windshield. They are hitting on the far right side, just the end of that wiper is hitting but both wipers are pretty close to the plastic piece. Is there any way to adjust this so that when the wipers come down they come to a rest like an inch up from the plastic piece? If anyone knows how to adjust them, please let me know! Its pretty annoying hearing the smack each time they come down. Thanks guys

I am pretty sure I do. I measured the old ones and they were 22" and didn't smack the plastic piece as hard as the new ones do. The new ones are also 22", I also measured and compared them to the old ones before I installed the new ones.

you can remove the wiper arm and reinstall it one spline toothe higher.
