Should I get a tune or a cat back exhaust and K&N filter for my wifes 05 Yukon? Have $400 to play with and want to get the most bang for my buck. Looking @ improving gas mileage and a little more power.

For $400, you will cut it close, but you could get a Black Bear or Wheatley tune, a Magnaflow weld-in muffler (not cat-back), and a K&N drop-in filter. The only variable in there will be how much you pay to have your muffler welded in. You will then have the most basic performance upgrades done (though there is nothing at all "basic" about a PCM tune).

+1...that's almost exactly what I have done...I have a Flowmaster dual cat back, a tune and a K&N drop in. Fuel economy jumped up between 2-2.5MPG and I have a tonne more get up and go.

whatever you do. dont get a throttle body spacer.

 

Definitely get a blackbear tune. Even if thats all you get. You can always make modifications later on because tunes are free for as long as you own it.
