Cluster Needle Replacement Help.

Recommended Posts

I just replaced my cluster needles after installing the 4wd light mod. I noticed that for the smaller needles/gauges, they seem as they were. However, I noticed that my speedo sets approx 1/8 to 1/4 inch below 0 mph and does not move up to 0 when I start the engine like I thought it should. I took care to mark them at lowest bottom point as described in the instructions, but don't know if the speedo is right now. Does anyone know where their speedo sets when off or just at idle, 0mph or below? I will be checking the actual speedo with my garmin tomorrow, but tonight it's bugging the crap out of me.

Also, what should the 5.3L in a 2007 NBS idle at when it has warmed up? Mine is running now around 600-700 rpm, but again don't know if I got the needle back on in the right spot or not. Thought about taking it to Auto Zone tomorrow and see if they can read the actual RPM and see how close my gauge needle is, but thought someone here might know the warm idle range.
