Transfer Case Blue's

:)so i have been to the dealer since i last posted. they rebuilt front diff after finding the filings in it ,they said pinion bearing had packed in and sent metal through whole diff and took out all the outher bearings. so that repair is now behind me, the transfer case noise they say is still just normal ,i told them that I was not accepting that diagnose's. so i told them i would look into it further my self.

sat i drainded all the tcase oil through a paint strainer/filter,into a clear and clean container ,with a light i could clearly see metal filings.i put a light into the tcase through the drain hole ,found that the oil pickup just above the magnet was plugged solid with rtv style sealant from the parting half's of the case. 2hrs with hands of a sergen and a very long and small dia shaft screwdriver i removed the crap, put the drain plugs back in refilled the tcase, and drove it .

somewhat better for noise but no where close to fixed. to late damage already done from oil starvation! so back to the dealer with sample of all the sealent from the parting half's in tow, showed the unbeliveing service manager, with a longwinded ,go round of finger pointing he said they will take it appart and see what they can do . so here is hopeing that they can now do what is right and fix the problem.i will keep you posted on what happens.
