Integrated Brake Controller

My IBC gives me an alarm when wet, saying "service trailer brake system", even without a trailer attached. Happens going through car wash, or when enough rain to splash.

 

Any thoughts?

loose wire or corrosion at the plug?? Mine's never done that in the 3 years I've had her...

From other posts that I have read

 

There is a connector on the back side of the bumper connector, this is typically where the moisture enters and causes the error. This is also where folks will tap for power at the back end of the truck and if there is an opening for the moisture in the taps, they will also cause the failure.

 

I hope this helps, no first hand experience mine seems to work OK so far.
