I'm stuck again fellas, and I'm calling on my fellow GM truck owners for help. I'm going to be color matching my mirrors this summer. Here's my struggle.

 

option 1: start by getting a set of WT manual mirrors. manual mirror housings have no mirror cap and would eliminate the seam around the mirror cap you typically get when painting electric mirror housings. I would have to take both sets of mirrors apart and swap in my DL3 internals into the WT housing. This way I get to keep all my DL3 options, but get a smooth painted exterior with no cap seam. Understand?

Option 2: keep my mirrors, paint to match, and get the GM chrome caps.

just as a reminder, I am planning to convert to an SS front bumper next summer, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the grille yet. I might leave it as is (chrome cross bar with a white bowtie) or painted crossbar (SS style) with a billet bowtie.

 

Thanks guys, I think both will look 100% better than the mickey mouse ears look I've got with the stock black mirrors!

Painted with the chrome cap for sure full paint is too much

i dont like the chrome cap myself... if i were you i would just paint the housing you have now... i kinda like them with the ridge
