Brakes Won't Work

When I am turning all the way to the right or left at slow speed, like pulling into a parking spot sometimes my brakes will not work. It acts like the ABS cuts in. Any ideas? It ia an 02 GMC sierra 1500.

sounds like one of the abs sensor`s of front hubs is either bad or I`ve read on here that rust build-up behind sensor can throw it off and cause this low speed abs chatter, my 01 has this problem, I removed brake fuse in cab fuse panel so abs doesn`t work which is safer than the way it was but in doing so lost cruise, just did this until I have time to clean or repair.
