my o4 yukon 8.1 has the 4l85e

dealer told me its really the same trans just stronger internal parts

if you call the service department at the dealer, give them the last 8 of the vin it will tell you everything

He has the 6.0,... he's got the 4L80e trans.

You can just open your Glove Box and look at the RPO Codes..

4L80e is MT1

4L85e is MN8
