Driver's Side A/c Blowing Hot

I thought I would post my recent experience for those who may encounter it in the future. I have a 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali with the dual zone HVAC system. I was running it around the other day, everything was fine, A/C blowing nice and cold. Relatively quickly, however, the air on the driver's side started blowing hot. At first I thought it was the system maintaining the temperature, but it became apparent that something was wrong. Once home, I tried resetting the A/C by pulling the HVAC fuses, but that did not work. I searched on the Internet, and it seemed this is a somewhat common occurrence. I contacted my local dealer (Kelly Buick GMC), and they were able to get me in that evening. It turned out to be the wiring harness was pulled very tight from the factory, and it had pulled two wires away from the pins in one of the connectors. They re-routed the wiring harness, fixed the pins and put it back together. So far, so good.

P.S. - is it just me, or is this board a little off? When constructing a post, I cannot see my cursor, and editing is quite painful. It won't allow me to move within the post, except by using backspace. Odd.

Wow, I thought you were going to say it was an actuator. My '04 silverado would do the same thing. Just start blowing hot air out of the driver side out of the blue. But a new actuator fixed my problem.

*yeah same problem when replying here. If you make a typo you have to backspace all the way back to fix it.......but I have found that using fast reply is perfect. I guess for creating a topic though you just have to deal with it.
