Problem with lube?

This must be a stoopid question, but I gotta know.

I lubed my truck on the last oil change with Valvoline Synthetic Lube, the product code # 985 if I recall correctly.

When I went to lube it again yesterday, a huge amount of clear oily liquid came dripping out of my lube gun.

Is this normal?  I have been under the impression that lube greases are able to take high temperatures and pressures.  If this stuff is turning to liquid at moderate temperatures  --  it was only about 80 deg. yesterday  --  then I've gotta start worrying if I got a tube from a bad batch.

Maybe this is normal, and I'm just too ignorant about lube greases.  Anybody comment?

I would question your choice of lube and throw it out. I have gone with Mobil 1 synthetic since day one. I use it on everything I own, from my truck to my lawn mower. Never experienced anything like that, and there have been days in excess of 100 around here.

Use it on my Sportsman, MXZ, Craftsman, and especiallly my Chevy's.
