Recommended Posts

I am in the process of building a downfiring sub box that goes under the rear seat. My question is would it be worth my time and money to put dynamat on the rear floor board of the truck?? I dont want to dynamat the whole truck. Will it make a difference, or is it a waste??

Please Help!!

Thanks!

IMO a waste.

I believe most noise supression matting is used to quiet various vibrations in a vehicle which the lower frequencies cause.

Yes matting also increases accuracy of music as well as dynamic range.

You would be better off placing the matting in the doors and on the interior panels to lessen vibration if you dont want to do the whole interior.

If you do, Use the Dynamat Xtreme or Premium, not the regular one. A better one IMO is Brown Bread.
