Need A New Cat

I have a 2002 TB LTZ that needs a new catalytic converter. Should I go ahead with a new muffler, Magnaflow/Flowmasters( I won't ask opinions on that LOL) or leave it stock? Is the performance that much better? A couple mechanics that I trust go back and forth on the issue. I know that most everyone on here upgrades their trucks because they want to. I don't know if it's worth the extra $$$? My wife is the TB"s primary driver, so it can't be "loud".

not sure about the muffler part, but I will add a warning, make sure you get a good quality cat, not some cheap one. I'd strongly suggest talking to a trusted auto repair shop and ask them for suggestions on what cat to get.
