Ac Acted Up Yesterday

We were heading home yesterday on a 3 hour car ride and I noticed that my AC got significantly week in its output of cold air.

 

I turned it up to max and it sounded like it was running full speed but it was defiantely not blowing full speed. The air that it was blowing was cold but not as cool as it can get. We dropped of my buddy and let the car sit for about 5 minutes. Fired it up and AC was back to normal.

 

I have also noticed that my AC under the hood sweats a ton.

 

Anyone have any idea what this could be and how I can begin to trouble shoot.

My '02 Tahoe with the 5.3, 4wd, & dual AC started blowing warm air today and has 188K, will let you know what I find. Leaving now to add some refrigerant
