I have a 2008 2500HD. it has 265/75/16 on it right now (Stock). i want to keep my stock rims what tire size can i go up to without any mods.

the NNBS chevys with the torsions cranked up you might fit 285's with some trimming but with absolutely no mods, 265's are as big as you can go with no rubbing. even a 6 inch lift 35's will still rub on ur truck...the NNBS suck for tire clearance, although JUST for the chevies you can get cut-outs for them now, not the GMC tho. the headlights are different or something causing the problem with the gm's.

With 285-70-17 on my 2008 HD, the OEM mud flaps for the front will not fit with a Cognito Leveling Kit. I dumped my 285 and now have 265-70-17 Michelin LTX MS/2 Load E. Great tires.

I need suggestions for a good rugged all weather tire for my 2500. I've got 20,000 miles on her now, and the factory tires are pretty much toast, I might be able to get 1 more rotation out of them. (I think they are the Bridgestones? can't remember) In the past, I ran Yokohama Geolanders on my 99 Silverado and on a Jeep Cherokee which did awesome, however with this being a 3/4 ton truck, I am sure things are a bit different. Obviously being in Colorado, snow is a concern, and I do occasionally (a few times a year) have to go off road to get up to mountain repeater sites on very crappy dirt/rocky roads so something that can take abuse well, but performs great on the highway.

Suggestions? Aside from getting the Flenstone rock wheels..

Another quick question. I do very little hauling and towing with my truck at the present moment. Do I need to keep the rear tires inflated to the 60 or 75 PSI that it is saying on the door sticker where as the front tires are 10-15 or 20 PSI lower?
