Oil Pan

Does any know if the oil pan in my 2005 Silverado can just be dropped, or does the exhaust need to be taken off, or what? I need to change my oil pump

I'm wondering the same thing. My oil pan is leaking, though. Has been for a about a year or since I switched to amsoil full syn. After looking at it, I'm not positive I want to tackle this on my own. Might bring it to the dealer or some local mechanic. How many miles on when your oil pump went out?

About 70xxx. It just sucks. I cant really afford to take it to a dealer or mechanic. The pump itself is like 35 dollars if I buy it.
