Best Leveling Kit

I want to get a leveling kit and ive been eyeing the readylift leveling kit, but i want to hear everyone elses oppinion on leveling kits. whats out there that i should be considering. i have a gmt900 z71 4x4

I don't have any experience with other leveling kits, but I installed the Rough Country 2" spacer on my truck yesterday. I am very happy with the results and the ride remained the same as stock. Looks like it should look from the factory. Installatin was easy with common hand tools and a couple jack stands. Took about an hour in the garage.

I'm still new at all this but after doing a good amount of research I ordered the Rancho Quick Lift set up Friday night. It's definitely more expensive but it really seemed to offer the most overall benefits at a reasonable price. Not only will it level the front end and allow you to go with larger tires, supposedly 35s, but it has suspension settings that you can change based upon the type of road you'll be driving on, which really appealed to me. There's some good discussion on the set up in these two posts.

If you do any kind of search at all or even just look at the first page of topics then you can find more than enough information on this. The majority of the forum uses Rough Country 2" level. Great design as well as easiest installation. Others go with CCM 2.5" as well as other brands. I'm running RC 2" and love it. There are plenty of options out there. Just do a little searching

Mines a 2005 but I'm runnin a RC kit as well. Love it, no adverse effects on ride or anything else so far. Have logged around 40,000 miles since installing it. Also installed the RC Nitro 9000 shocks to go along with it in the front and those are good as well.

i wanted to go ccm 2.5" kit but i came on a deal on a RC 2" kit for $50 shipped so i have it and love it

I'm pretty sure with the Rancho Quicklift on the GMT900, the biggest you can go is 33". I think the Ford's with the Quicklift can go 35"...

I called the local offroad place and for the GMC they recommend the readylift kit which is like 2.25" because it puts less stress with having something on the top and bottom of the suspension.

Readylift 2.25 $229.95

 

labor: 270 + 89.95 alignment

 

What do you guys think? I'm not fimiliar much with trucks but there is a HUGE price difference between the 2 leveling kits. Thanks.

Just get the RC kit.. its just a leveling kit, no need to make it out to be more than it is.

And what is the max size tire I can go with the RC kit? (I have the OEM 20" rims, currently with 275/55/R20)

275/60R20 is what most run. 33X10.8. What im going to do

I went with the readylift 2.25. Quick install and no issues so far. Luckily you're doing your research, I never did hence the readylift. At the end of the day it's just a leveling kit so your budget will decide for you.

They all r just as good as tbe other. I just went with easyest install and cheapest. I do wish mine was around 1/4" more now but i paid $40 shipped for mine. It will work till 6" lift.

I just installed the Rancho Quicklift in my 07 silverado and it looks awesome. I pulled the struts out myself and had a shop swap the springs, so besides the parts its 170 with an alignment and swapping the springs. On a side note the front suspension handles awesome! It was worth the money!
