08 Vmax Exhaust Question..70 Series Flowmaster Going In On Tuesday

I searched and found little to nothing about this but my question is this:

 

I am replacing the stock muffler with the 70 series Flowmaster. Should I have the resonator near the exhaust outlet cut out as well? Or will this result in excessive drone?

IMO, I'd replace the muffler, and wait to do away with the resonator. You might like what you get, but if you didn't, you could always go further.

I ended up leaving the resonator on. It sounds great. Going down the road at 75 or 45 no drone and plenty of sound when you open up the throttle. I would recommend a 70 series flowmaster to someone with a wife, still wants a little bit more sound and better performance.
