Keyless Entry On A 2006 Wt With Pdl And Pw

I have a 2006 Silverado work truck package 3500 4x4 that i purchased new. I love the truck and it has been a loyal companion over the years. It has power door locks and power windows. The one thing that is frustrating is the lack of keyless entry. I have thought of getting an aftermarket setup but I prefer to stick to factory accessories. Is it possible to add factory keyless entry to my truck? What is needed? Do I just need remotes? Do I need to add a keyless receiver? Is there more? Please let me know. Thanks R Cox

aparently not,u posted in Aug lol

 

you may need a new BCM or a reprogram but just get an aftemarket system installed ,get a 2 way put in you'll be fine

I had keyless entry in my old 2006 Sierra WT that did not have power locks and windows, and it worked fine until the day I traded it last April. Of course it was aftermarket and they needed to put in an actuator in both doors. My current truck, a 2011 Silverado WT with LS trim with power locks and windows also has a third party keyless entry system. The installer needed to add an interface box to get the aftermarket module to talk to the BCM, but so far it's been working great. This is a thread I started:
