A/c Compressor Won't Cycle Off

In my '97 Z71, about 2 years ago I had the entire A/C system replaced except for the compressor. I noticed the other day the air almost stopped blowing out of the vents. The fan is running but hardly any air is coming out. What air is coming out is cold. On the way home yesterday and to work this morning I noticed that the compressor is not cycling on/off. It even feels like the thing is blowing colder than normal. When the air flow coming out of the vents decreases, if I hit the button to turn the A/C off, after about a minute the air starts blowing normal out of the vents agian. Hit the button to turn the A/C on and after a while the air flow reduces to almost nothing. Any ideas where to start would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I think I figured out what the problem was. I tried a new accumulator pressure switch and no change. Started looking at it again and noticed the clip holding the two peice insulation on the accumulator had come loose and the bottom peice of insulation had fallen below the accumulator and sitting on the wheel well. I put it all back together tigthtly and it seems to be working normal again.
