I always just wires mine right in with the Radio fuse in the fuse block. That way the unit comes on with the key. Not hard to do. I use a metal jumper with a spade terminal to the wire. Real simple. but thats just one way Ive had it worked before.

I always find a toggle switch is best. Especially when I need to turn off my subs in a hurry!

(Minnesota cops are really bad about subs. I run 2 10's w/ a 600watt amp, and I get stopped constantly for breaking noise laws...)

Sorry been busy , I am using a PAC unit but not like that one. I got my amp to power up with key but no sound to subs . Im going to try again this weekend to check the metal spade connection from the speaker wires. will check back later.

If the amp powers up then it not your remote signal. If you have a volt meter, you can verify that by turning on the ignition and checking for 12V at the amps main power lead and the remote wire. How do you have the line out converter wired in? Sounds to me like your not getting that signal to the amp. Does your truck have the bose system? Anyhow, here is the link to the pics I referred to eairlier about running the remote wire. Click me
