Has anyone used this re-Q5 device on a factory Bose system? What are the results? I am thinking of adding an amp and 12" sub that I have from a previous truck and wonder if this will even everything out.

Also, should this go in before or after the factory amp?

Its actually a division of MTX that makes the RE-Q units and its designed to be taped into the speaker lines just like any other Line Out Converter. Im not sure it can handle an amplified signal after an amp but there are other options from PAC that you would probably be better off using in these trucks. BUt if you really want to look into the RE-Q run a search for MTX RE-Q, go to their website and download the instruction manual and see what it says.

what year truck to you have? If you have bose you can tap into the harness before the bose amp and get your line level out. That is what I did in my 08 and it works great. I just used a set of speaker wire to rca converter wires that I picked up at radio shack for $17.I'm in the process of looking into the same thing because I have a set of CDT components that should be here on Monday. Right now I just have a RF bd1000 pushing a pioneer premade box with a shallow mount pioneer. Fits great under the seat of my crew cab seat
