Filling Transmission Fluid

This may be a stupid question - but I couldn't find a fill port anywhere for the transmission fluid on my 2000 Sierra 2500 V8, 6L. Am I right to just fill through the dip stick tube using a funnel? Any advice would be helpful.

Yep, pull the dipstick and use a funnel.
