2008 Chevy Hd, 6.0l, Wiring Problems?

I have a 2008 Chevy 2500 HD 6.0L. If improper installation of a new plug onto the auxillary wiring harness for the ITBC creates a short, could this possibly damage the ECM? If so, what is required to fix it?

I have a 2008 Chevy 2500 HD 6.0L. If improper installation of a new plug onto the auxillary wiring harness for the ITBC creates a short, could this possibly damage the ECM? If so, what is required to fix it?

 

 

 

Most of the time there are seperate fuses on accessories. I wouldn't think you could harm the ECM. Not sure on the ITBC though, only worked on a few. Most of the time they are trailer problems, not truck problems.
