Hey guys!

i think i have narrowed the noise i've been hearing to the UCA bushings!!

now if i loosen the nut, can i turn the bolt with out affecting the alignment angles or is it affixed to the excentric cam for camber adjustment??

i want to see if i can get rid of this squeak without buying new upper control arms.

Thanks

DO NOT do that, you are barking up the wrong tree ,take it in for a diagnoses only ,think smart ,and use money for good not bad !! (choices)

i would set it back to proper alignment angles, just wanted to know if maybe it might free something up that could possibly be binding and maybe a little bit of rust build up in the bushing its self.. i don't deal with IFS on a daily basis, i'm a heavy diesel tech so solid axles are my forte.....

i will more then likely tear into this weekend myself, i can't find a dealer around here where i live that i can trust, anytime i go in, they seem to try and blow smoke up my ass, and at 100bucks an hour diagnosing, screw on that .. even the service department where i bought my truck, no help.... maybe you guys in the states have better dealers then we do up here. i dunno.........

it was an upper ball joint on the drivers side.....just over 40,000 miles

not loose or anything, tires were not wearing funny and there was no clunk

Moog upper control arm assemblies will be ordered next week!!!

here in ontario, canada i can get moog's for $235 a side, the GM ones will run me $378 a side.....

i was going to order them through Rock Auto and get them both shipped to ontario for the price of 1 Moog UCA from the Napa dealer at my account price...

and the moog's have a greasable ball joint, which is a HUGE bonus..
