Pulse Feeling

if i hit a steep hill and i'm in 4th the truck seems to have a pulseing like its being dogged, for example tonight i was on the highway going 55 and i hit a steep hill and the hill and wind brought my speed down to 45 and the truck almost felt like it was pulseing or struggling, no change in rpms it held steady..this normal or what?

torque converter unlocking? i've asked around and it seems other 800s that i know of also do this, along with make a churning pulseing sound while stopped in gear
