BaileyZ71 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I am wanting to upgrade my stock gauge cluster in my 04 colorado Z71 to one that has a oil pressure gauge instead of just temp and fuel level. I was also wondering if this is a plug and play thing or will i need to rewire? Do they make an aftermarket cluster with the oill pressure gauge?
[email protected] Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 The plug should be the same, just find one on ebay or something and just swap it in. Keep the amount of miles your current cluster has in mind also.
BaileyZ71 Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Does the 04 Colorado Z71 have the capability to run the oil pressure gauge or will rewiring be needed?
[email protected] Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 All wires should already be there, because the cluster does not read individual wires like it did in the old days. It reads computer data, so if your truck is running and can see what those sensors are reading then your gauges will show it.
BaileyZ71 Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 Any ideas or links where i could find a gauge cluster with the oil pressure gauge?
DBNissan Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Colorados/Canyons do not have an oil psi gauge so you're not gonna find one no matter where you look. The PCM does not even have the parameters that could be viewed through a scangauge. You will have to add a gauge
