Upgrade Rpo Uq3 To Nav - Can It Be Done

Just wondering if anyone would be able to tell for sure if the RPO UQ3 can be upgraded to A Nav radio. All of the ebay auctions I read say it has to have the bose option. If I read in to that statement correctly, I can not have the UQ3 RPO code. This is for my 2007 GMC sierra 1500 SLE.

Ryan.... Just got my Nav back from CPS this week , they could not program the option UQ3 into the Nav and make it sound very good . Are only option if you have UQ3 is installing the PAC AOEM-GM1416 and adding a external amp to the radio. I'm going to get a Pioneer GM-D9500F install it under the passenger seatand continue using my factory speakers for now.

Thanks for the info Rob. If I am reading in to it correctly, the nav unit functions but the sound suffers? IE speakers not receiving enough power because of the lack of an amplifier?

Acording to the guys at Schram(vendor here) it's a matter of finding a knowlegable tech that can work the Tech2 and it's subscreens correctly.

That is correct. I've seen it done personally a couple of times, and have sold over 100 units and haven't had any problems once you find a tech that knows what he's doing.

Thanks guys, Being that I had to spoon feed the guys at my local dealership to convince them I can add remote start to my truck, I will have to probably talk to a different dealership

Do you have a Delphi or a Denso Nav ? CPS could do a Delphi that had the red lighting up for me with UQ3 but could not do up my new Denso Nav with that speaker option ...
