Auto 4wd Binding

Today we had alot of snow. I drove about 35 miles in 4WD Auto on mostly icy and snow covered, but never over 45 mph. No problem, until all of a sudden, Had to turn the steering wheel about 15 degrees to the left to keep the truck straight, almost like a strong cross wind. The truck wanted to head for the shoulder. The front wheels kept pulling to the right. So I stopped. When I started up again, everything was fine.

On the way home tonight, the same thing happened. I even tried to switch to 2WD, but it did not help. I was going about 50 and it was really pulling. Also, it sounded like a whine or whistle at about 45 mph. Don't know if it was the tires or a bearing.

This whole thing feels like the same feeling that you get when you go slow in 4WD and make a sharp turn, the pulling and binding on the wheels.

Any ideas what would cause this? Stuck clutch in the transfer case? Truch has 115,000 miles and the transfer case and both diffs were fluid changed at 104,000. Just did frt brakes last week, but the pulling clears up after a stop.
