Hello All,

Here is my problem: I just purchased a 2007 Yukon and within 30 days the Passenger side windows, Power seats , grage door opener and a few other things stopped working. I found a blown PSD fuse. Tested it and it was short to ground. Pulled the panel off at the passenger side dash to find 3 plugs one which led to the passenger door. Un plugged it and the short went away. Trouble in the door right?? No?? Well kinda pulled the switch cluster out of the arm rest to find the that the small red wire(maybe 12 awg) was spliced to the larger red wire. I don't think it came from the factory that way. Went back to the dash to find that where the larger red wire mated on the dash side (male end) was shorted to ground. Unspliced the wires in the door fused it up and everything started working but the windows. So i guess what myquestion is where does the larger red wire terminate? Are there any other connections made with this wire??

Thank you

Bobby

Are you sure this red wire isn't a power wire left over from the previous owner and some aftermarket add on?.....perhaps a cell-phone kit or a radar detector?

I'm pretty sure both red wires connect to the switch cluster and both wires go to the factory connector in the panel on the dash. Plus if I leave the larger red wire unspliced the windows don't work, but the locks and mirrors work.It is my opinion that there is a wire with a swinging short to ground.

Thanks

Bobby
