Bought 04' Silverado: Faulty Gauges: What Could It Be?

I just purchased a 2004 Silverado crew cab with the 5.3
. Upoin test driving it, I noticed that Tach, while working, seemed to be very shaky/jittery as it moved. It did not stick in one spot, but almost seemed to tremble as it moved..

We made it part of me purchasing the
that they would allow me to bring it in and have it fixed.

I took it today and they had a mobile gauge repair man come to fix it. He took the gauge cluster out and said he replaced the motors on the back of every gauge. After this he reinstalled it back in the truck..

As I get heading down the street, It seems like the tack is still acting up.

Also, I noticed the speedo doing the same. It seems to be very jittery moving forwards and back. It also seems to lag behind in displaying my actuall speed.

For instance, it will display 5 mph for several seconds after I have to a COMPLETE STOP..

My father drives and 02' sierra and his acts nothing like this..

SO can anyone help me out in diagnosing this problem?

I believe the repair man did his job and replaced the gauge "motors", but maybe the problem is somewhere else???
