Strut Removal

I am planning on changing the height of the truck (Bilstein leveling shocks). I would like to remove the strut assembly myself then take them to a shop to remove the shock from the spring. Can you guys give me some pointers or a walk-trough on how to remove the struts?

jack it up. place jack stands under the frame. take off the wheel. remove the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. i think its a 21mil. thread the nut back on a little bit then hit the knuckle right where the TRE is and break it loose from its home. remote that. remote the three upper strut mounting bolts (18s) and then the two lower strut mounting bolts (15s) and then pull the strut out

I did my control arms at the same time and it was pretty easy to pull it out with the ball joint un-bolted.
