2008 Gmc Steering Noise

Let me start by saying that I have used the search function and I cannot find any relitive information on my issue. I have a 2008 crew cab 4.8 4 speed. It has 50000 kms on it and when making a slow left turn it makes a creaking noise, this problem will only happen once in a while. Just wondering did anyone else have this and what was the problem. I purchased this truck used from a good friend who is a sales man at a local dealer . This is my first GMC product and I am very impressed with this truck any info would be greatly appr.

Maybe this will help. There is a tsb #06-02-35-003C Rub or squeak noise while turning. Replace steering column seal and if necessary, shim the lower steering column mount.

 

This seal is at the fire wall where the shaft goes thru.
