Auxiliary 12v Fuse Block Problem(2007 Silveraldo Gmt900)

Hi There, I took my truck to the dealer to install a brake controller. They hooked everything up correctly(the trailer brake power wire to big post, and the auxiliary 12V to the smaller post) with a 40 amp-j fuse for the auxiliary 12V. The problem is I have no power to the auxiliary lights inside my trailer. I checked the fuse and it's fine. I took a test light to see if I have power at the fuse block where the fuse goes and it has power. I put the 40 amp-j fuse in and I still have no power at the auxiliary 12V post on the fuse block. What could be the problem??? Any suggestions??? 2007 LT Silveraldo (next generation GMT900) Crew Cab.

Not sure if this will help but check this post to confirm its hooked up correctly, when I hooked mine up I had to install a 30amp for the controller and a 40amp for the 7-pin.

I watched a video of installing a trailer brake controller on "etrailer" and it shows changing out the 7-pin female plug at the back of the truck.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.

    • Wouldn't swapping out the original AFM/DFM parts for a complete Delete Kit be the best route to go if one could afford to go that route?
    • It comes with directions but yes, generally, it's the same.  Also, get you the dipstick stuff to install dipstick so you have one.
