2007 Tahoe Shifting Hard Between First And Second

Transmission shifting hard when going from reverse-to-first and also from first-to-second when cold.

 

Approximately 62,000 miles on 2007 Tahoe. Recently while backing out of the driveway and shifting into first to take off, I noticed transmission grabbed first real hard (harder than normal). Then, while accelerating forward as normal, the shift from first-to-second grabbed hard...all other up-shifts were smooth as expected. After driving the vehicle for about 20 minutes, the transmission started acting fine.

 

Leaving work to go home after the truck sat all day, same problem. And, again the same thing the next day leaving home for work.

 

I have the ability to monitor the transmission temperature from the dash. So, I started monitoring the transmission temp while observing this behaviour. What I noticed is, once the transmission temp read about 140degrees or above, everything was normal.

 

What does this sound like?
