Hi,

 

What pricing guides would you recommend? I'm looking into a 2011 1500 2WD and there is some difference in the sites I've looked at so far (kbb, Edmunds).

 

Also, there seems to be an issue with ordering a 5.3 with any rear end lower (higher?) than a 3.23 - like a 3.42 or 3.73, even with the Tow Package (not the Max). Am I seeing that right? Anybody had any luck ordering a rear gear like that?

 

Just wondering if I don't know the 'secret handshake' for getting one.

There's no problem ordering the lower rear ends. In fact I wasn't going to buy a truck with a 3.08. 3.42 or lower w/the 6 speed. you can use those sites as a guide but you need to throw in rebates and how much you want to pay. Find somebody that will deal and go with your best deal. Also how good the dealership is, can be a factor. Dealer with bad reputation may be worth staying away from
