Fuel Pump Going Out? 2000 Yukon Xl

Maybe someone has some experience with their Yukon or similar not starting normally... I noticed that in the past couple of days my truck is not starting very well. It tries to turn over, but you have to hold it their for awhile before it eventually starts. Everything else is fine with the truck, I also noticed that the fuel pump has that high pitch hissing to it again and that is what it sounded like last time I had to get it replaced. Good thing I have a lifetime warranty on it so I should be able to get it fixed for free. Just looking for any advice if ya'll have had a similar situation. Thanks

My Uncle has a 2002 Silverado that just experienced the same thing. There is a check valve just ahead of the fuel pump in the tank that keeps the fuel in the lines from the tank to the engine after the truck is shut off. If that check valve breaks or is leaking fuel back into the tank, the long start is due to the pump having to get fuel all the way back to the engine in order for it to start. He replaced that check valve as well as the pump because you have to drop the tank in order to get to it.

Not a check valve

Fuel pressure regulator, on top of intake manifold

Easy to get to

Check it for any leakage BEFORE dropping your tank to do a fuel pump
