Adding Ac Power Outlet

Hey guys... now I dont know why it was never an option on these trucks, but has anyone installed a a power outlet? I have the 400W inverter already, and was considering placing the main unit IN the center console hardwired to 12V maybe (dont know how much room is in there) and extending the wires then getting just the plug for the 'visible' portion (off a model that does have the outlet, like, a Terrain or Acadia) and install it in the back of the center console.. any pictures or ideas? This is all still in the 'theory' phase. Anything besides a fused connection to 12v would I need on the other side?
