Steering Column Cover Removal 2004 Silverado

Man, this seems like a silly question................

I don't see how the steering column cover comes off of my 2004 Silverado. I'd like to replace my turn signal multi-switch someday before I run into somebody in a rain storm.

I don't see screws on the bottom side. Looks like it just has 3 holes.

it either has screws or some dont,if ya see no screws ,just pull them apart gently and they hinge at the back

the top half may have screws that are accessible once the lower piece is gone

look closely!!!!

very small torx socket required

Thanks...........Sometimes it's just that easy.

In this case, there are no screws holding the cover on. It just unsnaps using a flat tip screw driver as a prybar. Need to be careful reassembling to make sure you don't break the alignment fingers.
