How To Remove Rear Tailgate Handle With Lock?

I want to remove my 2010 tailgate handle to pait it. What is the proper way to remove it without breaking it? I can un-clip the top but I don't want to break the bottom.

You have to remove the bezel first, to do that you have to remove the lower bolt of the 3 on the back of the tailgate, and pull it off, there are 3 clips 2 in the top corners and 1 in the bottom middle, then once that is off you remove the two other bolts and the handle will come off.
