Can anyone tell me if this is what I need to switch out my stock mirrors for towing mirrors? Per my build sheet it says my mirrors are

DL3: Power heated outside mirrors w/dr auto dimming, turn signal, curb tilt

If this isn't the ticket, does anybody have a link as to where i can buy OEM style without costing me $1100 for them to be put on at the dealer?

If you have the DL3 the towing mirrors are bolt on and plug and play. I had DL3 and just put on OEM GM Tow Mirrors with turn signals. I got them for 340 shipped of GMParts Direct. I wouldnt waste the time to save the 40 bucks. Aftermarkets have all kinds of shaking issues. Buy OEM and save the headache.

Thanks very much. I sent you a PM as well.

Is this the equivalent for what I need?

DL3 mirrors require a different tow mirror as I understand it. You may also have to replace a module in the door, and have the BCM (I think) reprogrammed. Silverado Z71 had according to his for sale ad the DL8 mirrors, not the DL3's, so I think he had them mixed up as to which was which.

Try contacting MS3Dale and ask him as he may have a little more knowldge on this!

Good luck!

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
