315/75/16's?

Alright, this is my question. Im on the verge of getting a 6 inch NTD lift kit for my truck, the only thing is that im keeping my stock 16 inch rims. Can i run a 315/75/16 on the stock rim without any problems? I see people doing it all the time. I will more than likely get a set of used 315/75/16's to run during the summer and then switch back to my 285's for when i go back to school

I think it's pushing the limits of an 7.5" wide rim. I'm not saying its the best option, but I've seen alot of people do it.
