edge power juice box for Duramax

I have seen this box advertised and it claims incredible power gains. Has anybody had any experience with this and if so does it work like they claim?

Any bad things?

I have read numerous accounts from guys over at The Diesel Page who have the Edge or EZamp (same boxes, different sellers), and for the most part, they all love 'em.  Fantastic power loaded and screamin' fast when empty.  Most people suggest adding egt and boost gauges at a minimum when using a chip like this.  Go to the Forums at The Diesel Page and do a search for the Edge Juice box or the BD EZamp.  You'll find plenty of accounts and a LOT of reading!

I had one for about a week or so. After have a few problems, I decided I was not paying $800 to be a beta tester.

The Juice Box rocks!! I've had one on my truck since the first week of July, and have not set any codes with it. I'm running one of the early versions, the 3.5 C, and I do experience some occasional fishbite. Version 4.61 is the latest, as far as I know, and runs quite well. There is also a HOT version available, which is worth another 30 HP over the standard version.

 

With the Juice 4.61 HOT my truck dyno'd 361 RWHP, a solid 130 HP over the stock baseline of 230 RWHP. The standard Juice would dyno around 330-340 RWHP depending upon the vehicle and the dyno.

 

Alot of the problems people have seen in the early versions of the software have been corrected.

 

Bad things? Tires don't last long, and if you're not careful, the cops will get you too.

 

EGT's need to be monitered, making gauges a necessity.
