I've scowered the net looking for an answer to this and can't find anything... There is lots of information regarding the clips breaking on behind the handle itself, but no info on the rod coming off on either side at the actual opening/locking mechanism by the tail lights.

 

The rod has detached here. How do I gain access to re-attach the rod?
