Alignment Uestions/problem...

So today i went to one of the local shops to get an alignment on my 2011 gmc sierra. i told them i ahd 11K on the clock, and they told me to bring it to the stealership and that it should be covered by manufactures warranty.... except that i have the RC 2" leveling kit installed.

 

their problem is that they dont have the specs on the alignment machine for anything past 2009.

 

i felt like telling them to just do it to the 09 specs. is that right or wrong?

 

any thoughts or suggestions?

Now are you saying that the alignment specs of the 09 are for if you have a FC 2" lift or just alignment specs for 09's in general, cause it would sound as though a general alignment wouldnt work with the lift, it would be best to try to find a custom shop and see if they have alignment options

check with the company that made the level kit, they should have the Camber, caster, and toe adjustments specs for their kit..

them aligning it to an 09 and to factory specs will work just fine thats what it should be

my GF's dad has an auto body shop and has done all my alignments for the past 4 years. i would love to have him do this one as well but with all the crazy flooding and hailing in VT he is over booked as it is.

 

so the specs they have are for non lifted 2009 sierras/silverado's 1500. i would think that those specs since 09-11 trucks are "the same" that the specs should be close.

 

like i said before 09 specs are better than what its at now thats for damn sure

talked to darrell from RC and he stated that the alignment specs are the same for the NNBS trucks... but he didnt have the 2011 specs. he also stated that they are no longer having problems with their 3.5" lift on the NNBS trucks..........................................................................
