Pemberton named Nadeau's new crew chief

November 12, 2002

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Ryan Pemberton is leaving his role as Dave Blaney's crew chief to take the same job with driver Jerry Nadeau.

Pemberton said Tuesday he will work Sunday's season finale in Homestead, Fla., then leave Jasper Motorsports.

He'll work next year with Nadeau, hired last week to drive for MB2/MBV Motorsports. That entire team is getting a makeover -- driver Ken Schrader and crew chief New Moore won't be back, and the car is switching from the No. 36 to the No. 01.

Pemberton joined Jasper Motorsports in 2000, helping reorganize the team, and they finished 23rd in the standings in 2001 with driver Robert Pressley.

With one race remaining this season, Blaney is 19th in the standings. The Jasper team is second in Winston Cup in both the laps and miles completed.

Well, if Nadeau is in that car next year for sure, where does this leave Schrader?  ???   Anybody hear recently if he's found a ride?
